1. Don’t Look Up – In this disputably perceived American satiric sci-fi movie from 2021, written, produced and directed by Adam McKay, you will meet Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. They are two astronomers who try to warn people of an approaching comet that will destroy our civilization. The impact event is an allegory of climate change, and the film is a satire of government and media indifference toward the climate crisis. Another emphasis is how technological progress deprives us of our inner spirit. Included are also questions for the social network and our extensive presence there – is this disconnecting us not only physically but psychologically as well – from others, from science? The cast also includes Cate Blanchett and Meryl Streep. 
2. Moonfall – This action show will astonish you with its apocalyptic circuses and demonstration of the tech progress inside the plot. In his most ambitious so far project, the director of the blockbusters “Independence Day” and “The Day After Tomorrow” chooses to cast the Oscar winner Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson and John Bradley. They head up for a mission to the moon where a deadly secret is waiting. The plan is simple: save the Moon, save the Earth.“Moonfall” is an apotheosis in the creative work of Roland Emmerich known for his wide-scale and scope  movies.
3. Uncharted – In February the director of Zombieland (2009) and Venom (2018) Ruben Fleischer will release a prequel to the popular video games. Tom Holland (who also serves as an executive producer) takes the role of the unconventional treasure hunter Nathan Drake. The action-packed trailer introduces us to Holland’s take on the character: a boyishly charming bartender not yet neck-deep in global adventuring. Mark Wahlberg appears as Nathan’s longtime partner Sully. Sophia Ali plays fellow adventurer Chloe Frazer. Antonio Banderas rounds out the cast as a mysterious villain connected to the ancient treasure the main characters are hunting for. 
4. TikTok, Boom – A documentary about one of the most downloaded apps in the world, “TikTok, Boom” aims to answer the question “Why an app famous for its dancing people is an object of so many disputes?” The story is told by Gen Z representatives, journalists and social media experts. The previous documentary from the same director focuses on the research of racial prejudices. 
5. We Met in Virtual Reality – Shot completely in virtual reality, this documentary explores “the new boundary of human engagement” in a way no movie has ever done it before. The plot portrays diverse couples that meet in virtual space during the pandemic but reveals much more than just romance. It wraps up almost everything – from sex, through damage, to trauma, to means the virtual characters deal with the problems via new VRChat tools.
