With the pictures, you tell stories. Visualizing is a way to catch the eye, the look passes faster through the image and perceives the meaning at the moment. While reading the text is related to more mental concentration. And if words bring messages, visualization makes them brighter and colourful.
There are specific types of techniques on how to draw a logo and to implement its brand identity most expressively. Vector graphics start with a point, adding second points creates a path. It could be longer, curved, or with a close shape. The different points, lines and shapes are connected by a mathematical equation that tells the computer how to draw the final image.
The other type of image – the raster one, is made of pixels with a square shape. They look like a picture, shot with a low-res digital camera. On the other side, the vectors are graphics with mathematical curves and paths instead of pixels. If we say we compare them, the pixel square for example will consist of many separate pixels, like thousands of them. If this square is vector-based, there are just four points. Their advantages make them a popular choice for various creative projects.
- Vector graphics are easy to resize. Depending on what you want to express, you can change the size and shade without compromising on quality. The technical term for this is “resolution-independent.” Because of this advantage, you can use the same image for both small business cards and big advertising billboards.
- The other benefit of using vector graphics is that they don’t take up a lot of space to store. Because they are made of points, not pixels, the computer “paints” the image only when it is opened, and the file remains very compact. No matter how many times you edit a vector image and save it after that, the quality doesn’t change.
It is very common to use this type of graphic for websites, mobile apps, and digital presentations but also event promotions, magazine covers or merch. Images demonstrate the essence of your brand, so you can guide the eye of the client. Make your graphics 3D-like and real-life for a deeper, more realistic feeling. Or choose to bet on contemporary modern styles.
- Gradients, for example, are trendy, and they can be eye-catching without being cartoonish or infantile.
- Retro elements, paradoxically, can also nurture a sense of modernity. Refer to the past, but with the clear idea for a modern illustration layout.
With vector visualization, you show what you want to communicate, you do not describe it in words. Illustrate your plans, reveal the brand in a picture. It is possible to use not only original graphics but to turn them into a collage to represent your style. Badges, banners, cards, icons, infographics, cards, or computer screens – all these are parts of the huge world of vector illustrations, in which the possibilities for sophisticated brand content are directly proportional to your aspiration.
